Seattle Film School and Institute - Located in the Capitol Hill district, they offer a 40 week intensive program that awards a certificate in film production when you are done. Students will be involved in a minimum of 10 film and video projects and a feature length screenplay. You can also take classes about the film business and the distribution of films, as well as editing, lighting, and audio. University of Washington Cinema Studies - You are required to start with two series of core courses devoted to film theory and film history. From there, you start to get more hands-on. TheFilmSchool - This place focuses on intensive training in screenwriting and directing for its students. You are in good company here: Robert Redford joined TheFilmSchool Advisory Board in 2008.
